My go-to summer dessert is always a crostata. I love the feel of making one batch of dough in my hands though it is easy enough to make multiple batches ahead of time.
Bring your favorite pie dough together. While the dough rests, prepare your choice of ripe summer fruit by pitting and slicing. Roll out the dough to a rough circle or oval. Layer on the fruit. Fold up the sides. Bake. Enjoy with friends.
So easy and it is impressive to bring to a summer table at the end of a great meal.
